Savory, sweet, and just a little fiery, this garlic steak pasta is a flavor-packed fusion dish that comes together in under 40 minutes. Juicy sirloin bites are seared to perfection, then tossed with spaghetti in a glossy Asian-style sauce that clings to every strand.

Ingredients
  

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb 450 g sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch optional, for tenderness

For the Sauce:

  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes adjust to heat preference
  • 2 tbsp water

For the Pasta:

  • 8 oz 225 g spaghetti
  • Salt for boiling water
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Cook the spaghetti until al dente, according to package instructions.
  • Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  • Toss drained pasta with butter and set aside.
  • Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, soy sauce, and cornstarch (if using). Mix to coat evenly.

Notes

  • Flank or ribeye steak also works beautifully here.
