Instructions
 

  • Wash, trim, and quarter strawberries.
  • Toss berries with 1/3 cup sugar; refrigerate 30 minutes.
  • Beat cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar. Fold in whipped topping.
  • Layer cake, strawberries (with juice), and cream in a trifle dish.
  • Repeat layers. Garnish with extra berries. Chill until serving.
