- ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1½ cups 6.75 oz all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt plus a pinch more
- ¾ cup chocolate chips or chunks
Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter until just liquid, not hot.
Beat melted butter with both sugars until creamy.
