- 4 cod fillets 6 oz each, boneless and skinless
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped (optional for garnish)
Pat cod dry and season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear cod for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
Add butter and garlic, spooning over fish as it finishes cooking.
Squeeze lemon juice over cod and garnish with parsley.
Serve immediately.
