Ingredients
  

For the Mushrooms

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound sliced baby bella mushrooms or white button mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

For the Burgers

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20
  • 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns recommended: brioche buns

Instructions
 

  • In a skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Stir, then cook undisturbed for 5 minutes.
  • Add beef broth and cook until mostly evaporated (8–10 mins).
  • Stir in garlic and pepper. Cook 3–4 more minutes. Remove from heat.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add a smear of garlic aioli or dijon mustard on the buns.
  • You can substitute Swiss with Gruyère or provolone for a different flavor profile.
  • To save time, prep the mushrooms ahead and reheat just before assembling.
