Simple and elegant appetizer featuring cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil — finished with a tangy balsamic reduction.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls bocconcini or ciliegine
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Toothpicks or small skewers

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, simmer balsamic vinegar over medium-low heat until reduced by half. Set aside.
  • Assemble skewers with one tomato, one basil leaf, and one mozzarella ball each.
  • Arrange skewers on a platter. Drizzle and season with salt and pepper.
  • Just before serving, drizzle with balsamic reduction.
