Ingredients
  

  • 300 g rigatoni pasta
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Cook rigatoni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
  • Toss pasta with meat sauce and transfer to a greased baking dish.
  • Top with mozzarella and Parmesan.

Notes

  • Use al dente pasta so it doesn’t overcook while baking.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or sausage for the beef.
